A revised version of the previous "Dual Use Research of Concern," this re-named policy includes adoption of the new USG Policy oversight framework for research with iological agents or toxins, a clarified expectation that Locations review non-federally funded research for DURC-PEPP, and a procedures section that provides high-level principles and requirements for compliance with the USG Policy.

Revisions to this systemwide policy include technical edits for clarity and alignment with legal requirements and current practice. Edits include updated definitions of Clery Crimes, local implementation responsibilities for hazing prevention and awareness programs, and a change to the policy name to reflect the statute’s name.

Revisions include technical edits for compliance with legal requirements, replacing references to “breastfeeding” and “mothers” with “lactation” and “lactating employees”, addition of FAQs, and other clarifying edits.

Revisions to this systemwide policy reflect an increase in the mileage reimbursement rate and a technical update to the link for privately owned vehicle mileage reimbursement rates.

This new campus policy, issued on 01/08/2025, requires capital projects or major renovations which will create additional load on the campus high voltage infrastructure to work with the Facilities Services Engineering group to confirm the anticipated load of the project and the availability of electrical capacity to support the load.
