The activities and operations of UC Berkeley are governed by various policies and guidelines. Some policies apply to the entire UC system. Others are specific to UC Berkeley and cover the whole campus. Other policies apply only to certain employees, or to students.

Conflicts of Interest Arising Out of Consensual Relationships

REVISION. This policy, revised on 1/1/2025, requires that individuals participating in a consensual relationship take specific steps to avoid actual and/or perceived conflicts of interest.

Regents Policy on Public and Discretionary Statements by Academic Units

The Regents Policy on Public and Discretionary Statements by Academic Units was approved on July 18, 2024 and prohibits discretionary statements from being published on main homepages of academic units.
